Perth4Youth is a community engagement, collective impact project which focuses on the engagement, attraction, re-attraction and retention of youth to rural Ontario. A pilot of this process is happening in Perth County, Stratford and St Mary’s during 2017. The project will result in local strategic plans to attract youth to Perth County.
Civic Youth Engagement Project is a process for youth to engage with local municipal councils regarding issues or concerns they are facing. Youth take on conversations with their peers – conversations by youth for youth – with coaching assistance from OMAFRA and a local municipal representative youth go to their local council as a delegation to give a voice to these concerns or issues. The project is designed to engage youth in a meaningful way with the local municipal government.

In partnership with the Grand Bend Optimist Club, the YMCAs across Southwestern Ontario operate a YMCA Youth Centre in Grand Bend with regular programming and activities for youth ages 6 – 16.
