Getting a Birth Certificate
This piece of identification lets the world know who you are and that you are a Canadian citizen, and entitles you to all the rights and privileges of living in Canada. All applicants over 9 years of age need to have a guarantor, which is someone that has know you for at least two years, and is currently serving or practising in specified professions. Phone system will connect to answering service after hours for a Protection Worker to respond to client needs. During COVID19 court dates/services suspended except emergency apprehensions. Home visits with prescreening or rescheduled

* Counselling services to children and families
* Placement of at-risk children in individual and group home foster family settings
* Adoption placement of infants and older children who are legally and emotionally free for adoption
* Supervision, finalization of adoptions
* ongoing assistance to adoptive families
* Information Dissemination regarding “Duty to Report” suspected cases of child abuse and neglect through the Purple Ribbon Campaign

The Huron-Perth Children’s Aid Society (H-PCAS) serves children, adolescents and families under the Child and Family Services Act
Services provided by the H-PCAS include:
- Child Protection
- Counselling services to children under 16 years of age and their parents
- Placement of children at risk in individual and group home foster family settings
- Adoption placement of infants and older children who are legally and emotionally free for adoption
- Supervision, finalization of adoptions through the court
- Ongoing assistance to adoptive families
- Information Dissemination regarding “Duty to Report” suspected cases of child abuse and neglect through the Purple Ribbon Campaign
