Volunteer services include first aid provision at community events and a therapy dog program which provides visits to long term care homes and a reading program for children.

A midweek, two-day rural fair. Tuesday features a barbecue supper, opening ceremonies (and opening of exhibits and displays from commercial groups and non-profit organizations), an ambassador cake decorating competition and auction, a dog show, entertainment (TBA), and an inflatable midway. Wednesday opens with a parade through town, followed by a 4-H beef and sheep show, little folks agriculture show, culinary demonstrations, face painting clowns, a children’s educational program (attended by local schools and homeschooled children), inflatable midway, and, of course, access to hundreds of fair entries! This year’s fair theme is, Twist & Sprout. Fair entry is by donation. Please support your local fairs.
