Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) allows secondary school students an opportunity to gain on-the-job experiences through cooperative education (co-op) placements. Through the co-op program, students are able to register as apprentices in a specific skilled trade through their co-op supervisor. Students will complete credits as well as work towards competencies in their registered trade. Students who are interested should contact their guidance counsellor or co-op teacher at their school.
